A conversation between artist and photographer

London, England. Covid is wreaking havoc. Lockdown is in full swing. Artist Jeanne Woodcraft and photographer Benjamin Hoar share their worlds and depth of relationship as mother and son.

He is working on an extraordinary building site in London, and confined to the urban environment. She’s exploring an eerily silent countryside. At first, they exchange photos to stay connected and then for inspiration. The project evolves as they share their parallel worlds. Seasons change, fruit ripens, the building grows, and the pandemic spreads. Time is measured in the evolution of structure and landscape.

The ordinary becomes extraordinary.
